It was something like this, in a faraway land, lets call it OZ, There were two young ones, helplessly and hopelessly in love. No one had any problem at all. The parents were all exited about the wedding.

As the day drew nearer, the boy decided that he wanted to give the girl a gift that he just could not afford, and so decided to take some drastic action. He had a few options in mind; He could either sell all his valuables and still have too little for the gift, or he could go and do a job with the crew .

The job with the crew was his only way out. So he hitched his belt and off he went. There was Shorty, Lefty, Hefty, and Moe, other then himself. All they had was 10 days to get the job done from planning to execution and day 10 was D Day, the day of the marrige. On day one, they scouted the location and went through every possibility. They rehearsed every move in their mind a hundred times that day. Mr. Crusoe was chosen to be their victim. He was a kindly old man and was also very rich.

Day two began, and the boys started to put together the foundations of the deed. They went from pillar to post, looking for the right kind of equipment and supplies. Always being careful of buying the right thing from the right place. The day buzzed by and they had a lot of their inventory left and many things had to come form the town of OY, which was a good two hours drive from OZ. So that was the story of day three.

Day four and they started moving their equipment to the demarcated area. It was a labours task, and they now had only five days to go. Day five, and the humdrum of the day began. The five huddled in the morning, and decided that day nine was the day they were going to strike Mr. Crusoe. Then off to work they went. The day passed in a trance like stupor. Not one of them noticed that they had been working long after closing time. They had decided to meet later in the evening to ponder how to divide the loot. But it was already too late, so they decided to go home. They would touch base at the end of the day on day six.

Day six came and went, They decided that the young one would get a larger share of the killing as he was getting married. He thanked them profusely and went home a content man, the amount was more then he expected.

Days seven and eight came and went. Day nine came, and the boys met at dawn to make the final preparations. Today was the day. Today they were either going to have more money then they expected or they were going to be in a great deal of trouble. Today was the day. With Hearts pounding they approached Mr. Crusoe's house. The Deed was done quickly. They had achieved everything they had started out to do and then some. They then split up, and decided that they would not meet till the next day and that too they would only meet at the wedding.

The day came; the local church was looking very beautiful. The Ivy was washed, the bells tolled. Long-time sweethearts were to get married on this day, young people who had been born and grown up in the little town of OZ. Joy was in the air in the little town. The streets were deserted; the infants' sounds came only form the church. What a joyous occasion it was. The only person not there was Mr. Crusoe, as he had taken I'll.

The tears in the little lady's eyes glinted as gaily as the diamond on her finger. The young man had was unable to speak for a while when he saw the new coupe the boys had bought him. What a grand wedding. If only Mr. Crusoe could have been there it would have been perfect.

Suddenly there was silence. Every person there had surprise written all over their face. With much furore they all marched to Mr. Crusoe's house, which was very close to the church. There stood good old Mr. Crusoe beaming benevolently, with a grin on his face, he had decided to stay in to arrange a grand reception for the good work done by the boys, and also not being able to resist a chance to show off his new garden.

I would be happy for any suggestions to make it better ..... :)

Cheers .......
A couple of cans and a happy weekend to all.

Population problem

Hey,

Thought of leaving another thought for the day...... oops sorry for a while.

Do you ever wonder that if we educate everyone, have proper infrastructure & have proper facilities, will we be able to control the population boom??

Or is it the other way round?
